Cayce Movers Backed by 1,214+ Reviews

Midlands summers are hot and humid, and afternoon thunderstorms can build fast over the Congaree River, which changes how we plan moves in Cayce. When you book licensed moving professionals for a Cayce move, the plan includes an early start, wrapped furniture, and a truck loaded in an order that keeps your belongings dry.

Why Cayce Homes Need Careful Movers

Swamp Rabbit Moving & Storage moves Cayce households in established ranch homes, apartments, and newer houses on the Lexington County side of the river. Heat and humidity are hard on wood furniture and electronics, so our crews keep items moving from the house to the truck instead of staging them on a hot driveway.

What We Handle Across Cayce

Swamp Rabbit Moving & Storage handles full household moves, apartment moves, and packing and loading-only jobs where you supply the truck or container. Our local moving crews work at published hourly rates, starting at $180 per hour for 2 movers and 1 truck. Moves under 150 miles count as local and are billed for actual time worked.

How We Work on This Side of the Congaree

Most Cayce moves run along Knox Abbott Drive, 12th Street Extension, or Charleston Highway, and many cross into Columbia over the Blossom Street bridge. We schedule around rush hour on those routes where we can, and we confirm parking rules at apartment complexes before the day of the move.

What to Expect When You Book

Each booking includes a free estimate, a confirmed arrival window, and a crew of our own employees. We are licensed by the SC Public Utilities Commission under PUC 9880 and registered with the FMCSA under DOT #3449704 and MC #1163908, so moves that leave the state are covered too.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time do summer moves in Cayce usually start?

We recommend a morning arrival window in the hottest months when one is open on the schedule. Morning starts help the crew finish loading before the afternoon heat and storms.

Can you load a container I rented?

Yes. Loading and unloading help is available as a standalone booking for rented trucks, PODS, and other containers.

Packing Help Before Moving Day

Packing is available with the move or on its own, and all boxes, tape, and bubble wrap are included. Rates for 2- and 3-person packing crews are listed with our published packing rates so you can plan the budget early.
