Any final price, rate, minimum charge, accessorial charge, cancellation fee, storage charge, or other applicable charge will be governed by the applicable service agreement, estimate, tariff, bill of lading, order for service, or other written documentation applicable to your move.

4. Moving Agreements and Required Documentation

When you schedule a move, you may be required to complete and sign documents associated with your services.

Depending on the type of move and applicable law, these documents may include an estimate, order for service, bill of lading, inventory, tariff, service agreement, storage agreement, or other moving documentation.

If there is a conflict between these website Terms and a signed moving contract, bill of lading, tariff, order for service, storage agreement, or other legally controlling service document, the applicable service document will control to the extent required by law.

For interstate moves, applicable federal transportation laws and regulations may also apply.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information necessary to perform the requested services.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate origin and destination information;
• Disclose stairs, elevators, narrow entrances, long carries, parking restrictions, building restrictions, and other access conditions;
• Provide an accurate description of items to be moved;
• Identify specialty, unusually heavy, fragile, high-value, oversized, or difficult-to-move items;
• Obtain necessary building, HOA, condominium, apartment, loading-zone, parking, elevator, or other permissions;
• Ensure that pathways and work areas are reasonably accessible and safe;
• Properly identify items that should not be moved;
• Be available or provide an authorized representative when required;
• Secure pets and other animals;
• Remove or properly secure personal documents, cash, jewelry, medications, firearms, hazardous materials, and other prohibited or highly sensitive items;
• Follow instructions provided by Swamp Rabbit Moving; and
• Pay all applicable charges when due.

Failure to provide accurate information may result in additional charges, delays, inability to complete certain services, or cancellation of services.

6. Items We May Not Transport

For safety, regulatory, insurance, or other reasons, certain items may not be transported.

Prohibited or restricted items may include hazardous materials, explosives, flammable materials, certain chemicals, illegal substances, perishable items, plants, animals, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and other items restricted by applicable law or Swamp Rabbit Moving policy.

Customers should contact Swamp Rabbit Moving before the move if they are unsure whether an item can be transported.

Swamp Rabbit Moving may refuse to transport an item that presents a safety, legal, regulatory, insurance, or operational concern.

7. Customer Property and Preparation

Customers are responsible for properly preparing their property and belongings for the move unless packing or preparation services have specifically been purchased.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers should:

• Empty drawers and cabinets when required;
• Disconnect appliances and equipment when required;
• Remove personal items from furniture;
• Secure loose components;
• Protect or identify particularly fragile items;
• Remove prohibited items;
• Provide appropriate access to the property; and
• Inform Swamp Rabbit Moving of known hazards or special conditions.

Our ability to move a particular item may depend on its size, weight, condition, construction, accessibility, weather, building restrictions, equipment requirements, and safety considerations.

8. Packing Services

When customers purchase packing services, Swamp Rabbit Moving may provide labor and/or packing materials as described in the applicable estimate or service agreement.

Customers should inform our team of fragile, high-value, sentimental, or otherwise sensitive items before packing begins.

Unless specifically included in the purchased service, Swamp Rabbit Moving is not responsible for packing items that the customer elects to pack themselves.

Packing-related claims and liability are subject to the applicable moving agreement and governing law.

9. Storage Services

Storage services are subject to availability and may require a separate storage agreement.

Storage rates, payment requirements, access restrictions, storage periods, termination provisions, liability limitations, and other storage conditions are governed by the applicable storage agreement and applicable law.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding property placed into storage.

Swamp Rabbit Moving may restrict the storage of hazardous, illegal, perishable, environmentally sensitive, or otherwise prohibited materials.

10. Specialty Items

Specialty items—including pianos, antiques, artwork, oversized furniture, safes, exercise equipment, grandfather clocks, and other unusually heavy, fragile, valuable, or difficult-to-move items—may require additional preparation, labor, equipment, pricing, or approval.

Customers must disclose specialty items before services are scheduled.

Swamp Rabbit Moving reserves the right to decline a specialty item when appropriate equipment, staffing, access, or safety conditions are unavailable.

11. Scheduling and Delays

Moving schedules are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, mechanical problems, road closures, building restrictions, access issues, customer delays, labor availability, governmental requirements, or other unforeseen circumstances.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material scheduling changes.

A scheduled arrival time is not necessarily a guaranteed completion time unless expressly stated in a written agreement.

12. Payments

Customers are responsible for paying all charges associated with their services in accordance with the applicable estimate, service agreement, tariff, invoice, bill of lading, storage agreement, or other applicable documentation.

Additional charges may apply for services or conditions not included in the original estimate.

Failure to pay amounts when due may result in cancellation, suspension of services, storage-related consequences, collection activity, or other remedies available under applicable law and the applicable service agreement.

13. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling policies may vary depending on the type of service, timing of cancellation, location, moving date, and applicable agreement.

Any cancellation or rescheduling fees will be governed by the applicable estimate, service agreement, tariff, order for service, or other applicable documentation.

Customers should contact Swamp Rabbit Moving as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change a scheduled service.

14. Claims and Damage

Any claim involving loss, damage, delay, or other issues associated with moving or storage services will be handled according to the applicable moving contract, bill of lading, tariff, valuation provisions, federal or state requirements, and other applicable law.

Customers should promptly notify Swamp Rabbit Moving of any concern and follow the applicable claims process.

For interstate transportation, federal requirements may govern claims procedures, valuation, liability, and applicable limitations.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or eliminate rights that cannot legally be waived.
